Do YOU have trouble sleeping if there aren’t the appropriate number of pillows around you, at the right fluffiness, in the right configuration? If you said YES, then I have a MORNING CAFFEINE SOLUTION FOR YOU:
Black Midnight by Love Some Tea!
This is a well-rounded no-nonsense straight black that has notes of wood and raisin and malt. It comes in beautiful long twists that feel like something a witch would pluck and drink while waiting for her eye of newt to cure.
And the caffeine! Ah! The caffeine! If you were that witch, up all night plotting where to put your hex symbols on the floor, this would perk you right back up. Your pointy hat would stand right on end.
I have taken the witch analogy too far. I now declare it over.
Anyway, there’s something to be said for a sturdy, all-business, get-it-done kick-in-the-pants brew. And this is just the thing.
Onwards and upwards, my darlings. It’s time to start the day.
Here’s the scoop!

One morning I was feeling a little groggy and needed a quick pick-me-up. Instead of messing with loose leaf tea I decided it was time to try out this tea. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant because oolongs are very hit or miss for me. I tend to gravitate towards the sweeter varieties though, so I had high hopes for this.
I was pleasantly surprised with the depth of the flavor profile. It was warm, rich and almost nutty with a sweet finish. I love honey notes in tea, and I was not disappointed here. This was such an enjoyable cup and I was shocked that I could get so much flavor from a tea in a sachet. (It is worth noting that this tea is also available loose).
I did steep this tea a second time as well. I again was pleased when the second steep was still very flavorful, though just a bit more mild and sweet, in my opinion. I absolutely loved this tea. I thought it was incredibly smooth. I also thought that it did extremely well on its second steep, considering it was bagged. I think this would be a great tea for long work days when you need something strong but are short on time.

Third Place Award Winner at the North American Tea Championship 2015. Honey Red Jade Tea is a unique fermented black tea from the pristine hills of Taiwan. Hand-picked and processed, Honey Red Jade Tea is grown naturally to encourage the tea leafhoppers to feed on the tea leaves, producing a natural honey fragrance when the enzymes from the leafhoppers interact with the tea plants. This tea brews to a dark caramel color with a sweet fragrance and refreshing taste.
Honey Red Jade tea is irresistible when it is hot. It is even better when it is cooled. The unique sweet floral and honey fragrance becomes more pronounced, with a slight hint of citrus. This is a black tea you can leave in your cup or tumbler and not worry about over steeping or drinking it cold. Over-steeping and bitterness is not a problem with this unique black tea.
