Taster’s Review:

Well, I had intended on writing the review for my other 12 Days of Christmas teas in this time slot, but, it didn’t work out that way.  But, maybe it’s better this way because now I can have 12 separate 12 days of Christmas, the first 12 teas experienced on the 11 days leading up to Christmas with the final tea on Christmas Day, and the second 12 teas experienced the 11 days following Christmas (with the first on Christmas Day).

But, that’s enough about that … let’s get on with this yummy Organic Raspberry Green Tea from Brew La La Tea.  This is the fourth and final tea that I’ve tried from their Organic Green Tea Prism Sampler Box.

This is good.  It does have a really pleasant raspberry flavor that builds in intensity as I continue to sip.  It starts out as a really delicate flavor, and by the time I reached mid-cup, the raspberry was coming through very nicely.  It’s sweet and tart, and the tartness is especially noticed in the aftertaste.  It’s got that tingly, tarty note that dances on the tip of the tongue in the aftertaste.

I noticed the green tea right off the bat.  It was smooth, sweet and creamy.  The creaminess develops into an almost butter-y like flavor by mid-cup, and the diversity between the creamy, sweet notes and the bright berry flavors is compelling.

I enjoyed this tea – all of the teas! – that I’ve tried from Brew La La Tea!  This is a really nice company with some very fun teas!

Taster’s Review:

As this Organic Blueberry Green Tea from Brew La La Tea steeps, it emits an aroma that is so very blueberry.  My kitchen was filled with the scent of blueberry.  Mmm!

The flavor is very blueberry too.  The flavor is sweet with a hint of tart.  The tea is actually just a tad sweeter than the actual berry, which tends to be just a little more tart than what I’m tasting here.  But, I’m not going to complain, I like the sweetness of this.

The green tea is very smooth.  It has a silky, buttery texture and flavor.  There is some vegetative taste to this, but it’s a mellow vegetal flavor.  It’s not really what I’d call “grassy,” instead, it tastes more like a serving of steamed, mild veggies that have been lightly drizzled with melted butter.  It marries in a very agreeable way with the bright flavor of the blueberry.

Overall, a very pleasant cuppa.  This one might just be my favorite from Brew La La Teas thus far!  It earns two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Taster’s Review:

Today is Thanksgiving, and I don’t know about you, but today is the day that I’m busy thinking about delicious food … but there’s always the downside to that food.  The guilt!  So for my review today, I selected this Organic Red Velvet Tea from Brew La La Tea, which allows me to enjoy something deliciously dessert-y without the guilt of devouring something that’s full of fat and calories!

And I’ve got to tell you, that this is one of the tastiest “Red Velvet” teas/tisanes that I’ve encountered in a long time.  Yeah, I said that about a rooibos blend.  And what’s more … this rooibos blend has HIBISCUS in it!  How’s that for a shocking revelation?  I’m not ordinarily a big fan of rooibos, and you know how I feel about hibiscus.  And here we have two ingredients that I’m not so hot for and nevertheless, I’m enjoying this cuppa.

And I think the reason I am enjoying this is that it’s not your traditional Red Velvet.  That is, this is not a chocolate-y tisane.  And you know me, I love chocolate, but I’m usually just a little disenchanted by the level of chocolate flavor in a Red Velvet tea/tisane.

But with this blend, Brew La La has thought outside the boundaries of what one might expect from a Red Velvet tea.  This blend has been thoughtfully crafted.  The rooibos adds a hint of nuttiness to the cup but it doesn’t taste overwhelmingly of rooibos.  Instead, the nutty tones add a sort of “bake-y” kind of taste to the cup that tricks the palate into thinking that I’m somehow enjoying something cake-ish.  And instead of chocolate, there are cherry and vanilla flavors, which together with the hibiscus add a sweet-tangy flavor.  My taste buds think that they’re tasting a decadent cream cheese frosting atop a sweet, luscious cake!  Yummy!

There are also rose petals in this blend, but I don’t taste a strong “floral” note here.  There are some floral nuances that mingle well with the notes of cherry, but it’s never a strong enough note to where I feel like I’m drinking a “rose” tea.  It’s just a hint of rose here and there.

If I must offer one complaint about this tisane, it would be that it’s in a teabag, however, I must admit that this is a really tasty tea from a tisane.  I do recommend using an extra teabag when you brew this, because I found that this is best when it’s brewed strong.

Overall, a really yummy, naturally caffeine free tisane – great for those sweet cravings late at night!

Taster’s Review:

Nice!  This Organic Pomegranate Green Tea from Brew La La Tea is really tasty.  I like that the pomegranate comes through without tasting artificial.  The pomegranate flavoring here tastes very true to the fruit.  It has that bright, sweet-tart flavor that I’d expect from a tea calling itself a pomegranate tea without sacrificing the flavor of the green tea.  Both components here are well represented.

The green tea base is smooth and sweet.  There is a soft, buttery note to this with a vegetative tone, reminiscent of freshly steamed and lightly buttered veggies.  The texture is silky.

And the notes of the green tea meld harmoniously with the flavor of the pomegranate.  The flavor is fruity, tart, and just sweet enough to contrast with the tart.  I like the balance of flavors in this cup.

This tea is a perfect one to enjoy this time of year, when pomegranates are found everywhere.  I love pomegranates but, they’re pretty spendy!  This tea is a great way to not only enjoy my green tea, but also the flavor of one of my favorite fruit flavors too.

I drank this tea hot (this time of year, tea just tastes better hot, you know?), but I think it would also be very good iced.  Another WIN from Brew La La Tea!

Taster’s Review:

I was very excited to receive my package from Brew La La Tea – everything is wrapped up so festively!  Beautiful packaging including very nice tins!  And this Organic Ginger Peach Green Tea from Brew La La Tea is the first tea that I’ve tried from this company.

It’s really nice.  The flavor is sweet with a hint of ginger-y spice.  The ginger is warm but not hot or spicy.  Just a touch of warmth to accent the sweet, juicy peach flavor.

The green tea is sweet and slightly grassy.  There is no bitterness to this cup, and I’m not picking up very much astringency either.  It’s just a soft, subtle cup of tea that is both relaxing and refreshing.  It’s a very smooth and seamless tea experience.

This tea is tasty served hot, but if you need to step away from your cup for a little while and return after your cup has cooled a bit, don’t worry!  It tastes good cool too!  The flavors don’t mute as they cool.  I like this one best served straight, but if you want to rev up the flavor of the peach, add just a pinch of raw sugar to your cup.  This will highlight the sweeter notes of the fruit without overpowering the other flavors.
