I have had a few of the SuperHerb teas sitting around to be tried but kept putting it off. If it’s good for me, it’s going to taste nasty, isn’t it? I want a lovely evening cuppa, not something medicinal that builds character! But it is time to take courage and go for it!
Nettle is traditionally used to combat inflammation and allergies. And pollen and dust allergies really are inflammation, in a way, aren’t they? I am plagued with allergies so much that I don’t really know what it is like to hear clearly or breathe without feeling stopped up. But can I stand nettle tea well enough to drink it often and hopefully put these allergies at bay?
I lift my cup to my lips. Wait, what’s this? This smells like….CAKE. Really. Bless their hearts, they have added vanilla and mint to nettle and pulled off a relaxing, soothing aroma that smells like vanilla cake. Vanilla is the strongest component of the aroma, and the taste is mint and nettle with a touch of vanilla. Mint does relax me, and vanilla is always a “feel good” flavor, so this is a good bedtime choice for me.
The aftertaste of this tea is very herbal but pleasant, with a mineral flavor mixed in, like the smell of water on stone in a forest. This is definitely on my “to buy” list now to see if it drinking it regularly will help with my allergies. And I will look forward to it without fear now!

Organic Very Berry/Stash Tea
The product description for this herbal tisane begins, “If you like your teas tart, this zingy, triple berry combination is for you!”
I don’t like my teas tart. So why did I drink it? Because a lot of hibiscus blends taste pretty good as a sweet iced drink to me. The tartness comes mainly from the organic hibiscus and organic rosehips in the blend, though the berry flavors probably add plenty, too.
Also, hibiscus blends are usually so pretty. They look gorgeous in a clear glass on a hot day, bright red and promising refreshment. It looks like cherry Kool-Aid from childhood. Though I don’t like the tartness of hibiscus, it becomes quite palatable with sugar.
This was all overshadowed by the rooibos, though. Once in a while, a company makes a rooibos blend that successfully covers the rooibos taste. That’s a bad thing if you love rooibos, but I don’t. I rather strongly dislike it. Even with all the other ingredients, this like cherry cough syrup with cinnamon added to me, which is basically just how I describe red rooibos. Maybe someday it will grow on me.
If you like rooibos, you would probably like this blend, and it is all organic, which is awesome! It does look gorgeous in a pitcher or glass, and would really make a nice presentation with some fruit slices or berries floating in it.

Morning Booster/Immerse
Starting my day off with an herbal blend is not how I usually go about my day, but recently the SororiTea Sisters received a generous sampling of Immerse tea bags and I was eager to try these. Immerse only produces organic herbal blends so let’s see how this one goes.
The first one I grabbed was Morning Booster- an herbal blend of roselle (hibiscus) and ginger. This is not a combination I would have ever thought to put together but I was really intrigued. Per the recommended steeping parameters on the box and the tea bag tag itself- this tea should be prepared with freshly boiled water and steeped for 4.51 minutes. .. yep! 4.51.. .I’m not going to lie, that extra 51 second note is making me chuckle this morning.
After my water was prepped, I went to add in my tea bag. The first thing I noticed was how dusty the tea bag is. Not like dirt dusty but herbal dusty. The tea bag has quite the natural organic feel.
The tea bag may have steeped more than the recommended 4.51 minutes but I am quite delighted in this delicious mix of ginger and roselle. The tart and spicy combination with a touch of sweetness really provides this lovely contrast and I found myself already draining this cup and setting out to have another. The ginger is spicy so be warned but it is a good spicy and not a I can’t breathe sort of spicy. The tart/sweet tones that the roselle is bringing in really helps to balance out the tea.
Overall, I’m really impressed with this tea. The packaging is gorgeous, the attention to detail is spot on, and the price is right. I’m not sure that I would replace my morning caffeine with this blend but I could see myself drinking this after lunch to get over what I call the lunch wall.

Matcha Honey & Lemon/Tipson
Recently, the SororiTea Sisters received an incredibly generous box with quite a variety of different Tipson teas. Tipson is not a tea brand I’m familiar with but was intrigued by the different varieties they offered- all in tea bag form.
The first one that caught my eye was their Matcha Honey & Lemon variety. I’ve had matcha before in a tea bag form and was not crazy about how the flavors came around so I was intrigued if this take on a bagged matcha would be different. This particular variety not only had organic matcha, but also had organic green tea and lemongrass with natural lemon and honey flavors listed. Again, interesting combo but wasn’t 100% sure those flavors would mingle well.
So this morning I prepped my tea up with freshly boiled water and allowed the tea to steep for the recommended 3 minutes. First sip in- I was surprised. The flavors weren’t what I was expecting. The first flavor that comes across is the green tea and lemon notes and I have to say, the flavor was pleasant. The honey flavor comes in towards the middle of the sip and it isn’t my favorite take on honey. The flavor reminded me more of a cough drop than actual honey flavors but I know that honey flavors are sometimes hard to pin point. At the end of the sip you get the slightest hint of matcha.
To try to pull out the matcha flavors, I tried making this tea as a cold brew tea and the flavors were about the same as hot brewing. Overall, this tea exceeded my previous experiences with bagged matcha and I can see having this tea on hand for those days where brewing loose leaf may just not be in the cards. Not an everyday drinker but one that I could easily sip on during the day and for sure has me intrigued to check out other teas from Tipson.

Malty Biscuit Brew/Yorkshire Tea
Hello, my dear tea lovers. I will admit that I spend way too much time online looking for new teas to try. I almost have a mountain of teas but somehow I obtain more. And this time on my search I have found a very interesting blend, a blend that mimics the indulgent practice of biscuits and tea by Yorkshire Tea.
Now I want to say that this brew has no actual biscuit in it for the biscuit flavor comes from the natural vanilla that they use in combination with a blend of black teas. The vanilla that they use is of the nutty variety and it does actually taste like I have eaten it with a biscuit! It is nice and comforting without having too much of the vanilla flavoring (it only makes up 3% of this blend) to the point where it is just a hint of “biscuit” flavor.
Now sadly, this brew isn’t sold in American markets all that often so the easiest way is to get this brew from Amazon and I got a 40 count box for about $7. Now keep in mind, this seems to be a UK exclusive so if you do decide to order, you will have to wait a bit because of overseas shipping. But mine (I ordered from the Amazon seller Spellbound from England) came nicely packed and the box is brand new and has a best by date of 08/2020 though I doubt it will last till then.
If you want the tea and biscuit experience on the go I say this is a great option! It is warm and cozy and even if you are not the biggest fan of vanilla, like myself, I am sure you will enjoy it. It is also versatile as well for you can have it with milk for more of a biscuit-like flavor or without. So if you are after a cup of cozy but don’t have the biscuit or you are on the go I fully recommend this tea!
