Zesty Ginger Lime from Storehouse Teas. . .

Summer is pretty much exclusively iced tea season for me– and frankly, if it can’t be cold-brewed, it probably isn’t going to get much love in my tea cabinet during the warmer months. So when this little unassuming gem showed up in my most recent sample stash, it wasn’t even a question that I’d be brewing it cold. The ginger and the lime immediately pop in the cold brew, with hints of lemongrass lingering behind. This one lived up to its name (“zesty” indeed!) and was fantastic with a splash of lemonade stirred in right before sipping. It’s the perfect Read More

Cinnamon Plum Berry Organic Botanical Blend from Storehouse Tea. . . .

Storehouse Tea is a company completely new to me. I had never even heard of this company until a box of Sororitea Sisters samples arrived at my door including this tea, Cinnamon Plum Berry. Full disclosure: Even though I am excited to try a new tea company, I am a little apprehensive about this tea. Between the deep reddish-pink it brewed up that screams hibiscus and the licorice root, I was worried this would definitely not be to my tastes. Using the sample I was given, I decided to make it both iced and hot to compare the two. I Read More

Indian Masala Chai from Storehouse Tea. . . .

Indian Masala Chai. I have had a number of them. But Indian Masala Chai from Storehouse Tea is something to put on your most beloved tea shelf! It’s not TOO spicy but the spice seems JUST RIGHT for my palate and perhaps for yours, too! There is a certain amount of SMOOTHNESS that comes along with this one, too! Mysterious but NOT unheard of. It’s ALMOST like it has a HINT of vanilla or cream in there but it doesn’t! As a matter of fact the ingredients in this loose leaf chai include Fair Trade Organic black tea leaves, Organic Read More

Vanilla Bean from Storehouse Teas. . . . . .

I love vanilla in teas. I feel like if I was a tea-blender, i’d probably add a dash of vanilla to just about everything. I feel like it just gives this yummy warmth and sweetness to the blends and it also goes well with just about everything else! There is a difference between regular old “vanilla” and “vanilla bean”. Vanilla bean, in my experience, tends to be just a tad bit stronger and richer. When I saw this one in my little sample box I immediately scanned the ingredient list. I was wondering whether this would just be plain vanilla Read More

Hand Blended Almond Flavored Green Tea Treat from Storehouse Tea. . . .

I have tried a lot of teas that are named some variation of sweet almond. It is always a green tea, but they all do not taste the same. Some are very much like marzipan, others are more so the taste of green tea. This one, by Storehouse Teas, is more the latter than the former. Which is good, sometimes you don’t want that overly sweet marzipan taste! The smell of this sweet almond tea is most definitely sweet almond with slight marzipan. I added just a tad of agave though because on taste, it was not as sweet as Read More
