Strawberry Shake from DAVIDsTea. . .

I have been (im)patiently waiting for DAVIDsTEA to come out with some new “summery” teas. It has finally happened! Yay! So their new collection they’re calling “Malt Shop” and all the teas are based off of ice cream. They not only have ice cream themed teas, but new tea tins and mugs with ice cream print on them. Talk about cute! I definitely went all out during my DAVIDsTEA shopping spree, and I am happy I did because I am loving the teas! The first one I tried was Strawberry Shake. It is described as a green tea with Read More

Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel from Tea & Tins. . . . .

Although the holiday season has (sadly) passed, this tea still caught my eye. Mostly because it included mini marshmallows and gold ball sprinkles. I am a sucker for anything that includes marshmallow. Upon inspection of the dry leaf, I could smell the caramel and marshmallow notes. The dry leaf itself was very pleasing to the eye, as it contained “Star of David” shaped sprinkles, gold balls, mini marshmallows, and caramel squares. I liked that it contained actual marshmallow and caramel pieces because I hoped that that would add extra flavor and creaminess to the cup. While I don’t mind when Read More

Maple Matcha from DAVIDsTEA. . . . .

I am a huge fan of matcha. I drink a matcha latte every morning. I take two-three matcha-spoonfulls (.5tsp each) and mix it with a little over a half cup of hot water, using a matcha bamboo whisk. Then I add it to a glass of hot milk and add a tbsp of agave to sweeten it up. Mega yum! Matcha gives me a great energy boost and it also has a lot of health benefits which makes me happy. Back in the fall I was a huge fan of DAVIDsTEA’s Pumpkin Pie Matcha. It was so good! So, when Read More

Old Fashioned Spice Cake from The NecessiTeas. . . . .

I have no words. Dang this tea was good. So, Old Fashioned Spice Cake by The NecessiTeas, thank you for coming into my life. This was unbelievably good! Halfway through my first cup -I jumped onto their website and bought a whole 3oz of it, along with a few others! Smelling the dry leaf you definitely get “spice”- cinnamon, clove, and coriander. You also can really smell those bakery notes- the almond cream and the cake. I was a little hesitant that it would be some super spiced black tea or too closely resemble a chai, but I was wrong. Coconut Carrot Cashew Assam from A Quarter To Tea. . . . .

When I saw this blend on A Quarter to Tea’s website and I told it to my significant other, he wrinkled his nose and said he didn’t think it would sound good. I, on the other hand, was intrigued. I have never seen cashews in a blend before and was curious as to how it would translate. So I bought a taster and it was the second tea I tried from my first order from them. The dry leaf smelled like carrot cake, sweet cashews, and coconut. It is very enticing, warm, and comforting. I steeped the whole sample in Read More
