November’s A Quarter To Tea Subscription Box

Yesterday I was giddy when I noticed that my first A Quarter To Tea Subscription Box showed up.   A Quarter To Tea, founded in 2015, provides customers both uniquely refreshing blended flavored teas and a few non blended teas as well.

On their Etsy site, they offer gorgeous tea jewelry and other fun accessories that any tea enthusiast would adore.  When I noticed they were offering a monthly box of their limited and seasonal teas, I instantly signed up. I’ve loved so many of their blends that having a monthly box sent to my house was a no brain-er.

This month’s box included Pumpkin Marshmallow White Cocoa, Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding, Plum Oatmeal Squares, and Old Wisconsin with a sampler of Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti.  With blends like these, its hard to figure out which blend to try first.

stickytoffeepuddingI started with Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding. This blend is a hand rolled tea from Yunnan that has English Toffee and custard like flavorings added.  Not only am I glad I already picked up an extra bag of this one, I am going to implore Lauren at A Quarter To Tea to make this a permanent addition to her offerings.

I literally drank this tea all day yesterday. Infusion after infusion I was greeted with this amazingly decadent sweet malty loving that had me wanting more, cup after cup.  My husband even told me to get more of this tea. He too joined in and had several mugs. This tea doesn’t disappoint and stands up to the name Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding for sure.

pumpkinmarshmallowNext tea I tried was the Pumpkin Marshmallow White Cocoa, another tea that I bought an extra package of. This one is described as being sweet and creamy with white cocoa and marshmallow.   And that it is.  This tea had a rush of spices mingled with pumpkin and a hint of the white cocoa.

The marshmallows provided a nice extra kick of sweetness to contrast with the spices,  I think this tea would be better served as a latte and there is even a note included in the box saying that. On its own, its good and I would have no problem drinking it. But I know this tea can be amazing. Just have to experiment a bit.

onwisconsinOn Wisconsin has literally taken over my day today. This tea is all that and more. I mean the tea literally has cow sprinkles! Cow Sprinkles! The description of this tea goes like this:  Creamy jade oolong with honey cheesecake flavors and cow sprinkles.

I can’t say that I’m getting a honey cheesecake flavor but what I am getting is insanely rich and delicious. The creaminess of the oolong works so well with the honey flavors.  I’ve had probably about 10 cups of this today alone. And even though the flavor is weakening each sip, I just can’t get enough of that oolong honey dessert flavor.  Very well blended and one I’m going to need to get more of. This particular tea will be released later this week for purchase.

plum-oatmealPlum Oatmeal Squares is the only tea in the bunch I haven’t tried yet. And to be honest that is just because I have spent so much time with On Wisconsin and Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding. When I get to trying that one out, I’ll review it on its own. Same with the Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti. That is a tea I’ve had my eye on for a bit so I’m glad it was included in this month’s box.

All in all, I’m very happy with my first box.  For the price, this subscription is an incredible value.  I’ve never been disappointed with a tea I’ve bought from A Quarter To Tea.  Along with the teas was a muslin tea bag and a tea recipe to try out.

If you are in need of a tea gift for that tea lover in your life or are looking for a monthly tea subscription, I highly encourage you to check this one out.  Your taste buds will thank you.
