Taster’s Review:
There are some times when I find I’ve eaten something that doesn’t sit well with my stomach. Whenever that happens, I usually reach for a lemon and ginger tea. I’m not looking for anything fancy, just a teabag that I can steep quickly! I saw this box at the store not too long ago and thought that I’d keep a box on hand for when I don’t feel that great.
What I already enjoy about this tea is that the smell is delicious! The lemon is strong and reminds me of lemonade with a hint of ginger in the background. Sipping… mmm the lemon comes through beautifully and fades into a lightly spiced ginger. For someone who doesn’t like spicy flavors in teas, this one is nice and light. It does leave a little tingly sensation on the tongue which I could frankly do without.
I do like this blend and find that it makes my stomach less irritated. I do wish that Celestial Seasonings could cut down on some of the ingredients in the tea since I don’t really think the roasted chicory or soy lethecin contribute anything meaningful. There are certainly other lemon and ginger blends that taste just as good without those additions.
